What we collect, and why.
Poker Player is a reading site. We collect the minimum needed to serve guides and honor purchases, and we don’t sell or share reader data with advertisers. Ever.
Your email address
If you create an account, we store the email address you sign in with. Sign-in is by magic link — we never see or store a password. We use your address to deliver sign-in links, purchase receipts, and, if you request one, a note when a book profile you asked for is ready. No marketing list, no newsletter you didn’t ask for.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly and are never seen or stored by us. We keep a record of what you bought so we can keep delivering it — purchases are yours across every site in the Bicycle Guide family.
Downloads
When you download a guide take-away (EPUB/PDF), we log the download against your account. That log exists to honor your ownership and to calculate fair refunds — not to profile your reading.
No tracking for its own sake
We don’t run third-party ad trackers. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs — requests, timestamps, IP addresses — used for operating the site.
Questions or deletion requests
Email mike@peopleanalyst.com and a human will answer. If you want your account and its data deleted, say so and it will be.
